Dr. Taryn Atlin, PhD, C. Psych
Dr. Taryn Atlin is a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, an Infant Sleep Consultant registered with the Family Sleep Institute, and is certified in Perinatal Mental Health. She obtained her master’s degree from the University of Toronto and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Ryerson University. She completed her APA accredited Predoctoral Internship in psychology at McLean Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Belmont, Massachusetts. During this internship, she worked in outpatient, day program, and residential settings. Specific clinical rotations included the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Institute, working with those struggling with severe or treatment resistant OCD; the Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder Clinic, with individuals dealing with psychosis and mood disorders; the Behavioural Health Partial Hospitalization Program with clients with a range of debilitating mood, anxiety, and personality disorders; and in the 3East Program with adolescents with self-endangering behaviours. Dr. Atlin has also trained at hospitals in Toronto, including the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and St. Michael’s Hospital.

Dr. Atlin works with adults and adolescents using evidence-based treatments. Her primary treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Dr. Atlin is also passionate about the research and treatment of insomnia and she has worked extensively with client’s struggling with a range of sleep difficulties using CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I). She is also extensively trained in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders.

Outside of work, Dr. Atlin enjoys spending time with her husband and children, as well as exercising, cooking, and travelling.
